This California cutie might be from out west, but Erika Henningsen is definitely a Broadway baby now, having been the one to originate the role of Cady in the 2018 musical version of the Mean Girls in 2018.  Before that though, she was also in Hairspray as Penny Pingleton and even played Fantine in the Les Misérables revival in 2015.  So this ravishing redhead is definitely a musical theater legend at this point in her career, so the next logical step is to get into some films and TV!  So she comes our way in a new TV series from NBC and the mind of Meredith Scardino, Girls5eva.  The series follows a one-hit wonder girl-group from the 90s (ala Spice Girls), who haven’t been together in close to 20 years.  One is a dental hygienist, one is working in a restaurant, one is pretending to be famous, and the other is shilling incontinence underwear online!  When a rapper decides to sample their lone hit song on his latest #1 hit, this washed up group of formerly famous ladies are propelled back into the spotlight a bit and the have no idea what to do to capitalize on this, so they try to get back to their old tricks in a music industry they are not sure of anymore.  Erika plays the younger version of Gloria, whose older version is actually played by Paula Pell, but Erika shines in the music video flashbacks to their songs from the 90s and doesn’t mind being very scantily clad in some throw back clothing!
