White Pink White. That’s what Blanca Rosa Blanco’s name translates to from her native language of Spanish. Fairly appropriate, since the Cuban-born chica shows her pretty pink nipples and huge areolas, topping off big, bare breasts in the movie Juan of the Dead (2011), playing the part of Sarah. Blanca was almost 40 when the film was released, so her skinematic turn was a long time coming, but well worth the wait. Long before that hot nakedness, though, the Havana actress earned a degree from the Faculty of Performing Arts at The University of Arts of Cuba/Instituto Superior de Arte—where she later went back to teach acting courses. She was cast in several plays while attending, and continued working exclusively on the stage for several years after. Blanca finally made her first credited feature film in 1997, as a teacher in the Italian film Cuba libre – Velocipedi ai tropici, which was shot in Cuba. She then took the role of Aleida March in Argentina’s To the Victory at Last (1997), and finally did a Cuban film, Matar el tiempo (1997), aka Killing Time. Other big-screen Cuban films include Mauricio’s Diary (2006); Lisanka (2010), playing Teté; and Habanastation (2011) as Moraima. White Pink White was also nationally known on Cuban television as Chief Monica in the crime drama series Tras la Huellas, or On The Trail, a role so beloved by audiences that it earned her Most Popular Actress in Cuba for ten years running. In 2018, Blanca earned the distinction of being the first woman in Cuba to write, direct, and star in her own film, El Regreso, which earned a nomination for Best Film at the Havana Film Festival New York.
