There are a number of reasons why Game of Thrones (2011-2019) won 59 Primetime Emmy Awards and the hearts (among other parts of the anatomy) of fans. For starters, the critically-acclaimed action fantasy series attracted an international fan base due to its shooting locations which spanned the United Kingdom, Canada, Croatia, Iceland, Malta, Morocco, and Spain. Based loosely on George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire books, the HBO show boasted endearing characters and unexpected plot twists. Thirdly, the cast featured several sexy starlets, such as Emilia Clarke, Sophie Turner, Maisie Williams, Nathalie Emmanuel, Lena Headey, and Gwendoline Christie, as well as a host of background beauties. Enter Xena Avramidis!
