After the death of the great Carol Wayne, Randi Brooks stepped in as Hollywood’s sexiest ditz. This brilliant comic actress used her huge knockers and squeaky voice to steal any number of scenes. It started with her role as “Girl in Bikini” in the sci-fi flick Looker (1981). From there, she appeared in the series The Greatest American Hero, The Dukes of Hazzard, and Wizards and Warriors; the TV movies The Return of the Man from U.N.C.L.E.: The Fifteen Years Later Affair (1983) and Murder Me, Murder You (1983); and the music video Dr. Hook: Baby Makes Her Blue Jeans Talk (1982). It took someone with the genius of The Man with Two Brains (1983) to finally get her naked, but it’s impossible for Randi to ever downplay her sex appeal. Her next skindeavor was the Clint Eastwood thriller Tightrope (1984). Do you think Clint’s wood pointed East after seeing Randi naked in a hot tub? Her turn as a dot-brained swinger in TerrorVision (1986) is more riveting than the film’s monster, while Randi’s orgasmic restaurant scene in Hamburger… The Motion Picture (1986) leaves Meg Ryan sounding like Shirley Temple. She lets James Woods Cop (1988) a feel and a kiss in this crime film but keeps her clothes on. Still, James must have had… (Seriously, what’s with all her Wood-named co-stars?) Randi’s randiness has been missing in action since her role on the 1989-1990 series Mancuso, FBI (where she was billed as Randi Brazen), but her unique presence will always be appreciated–as brazen as that sounds.
