Ann Magnuson came from the crucible of the New York mid ’80s post-punk performance scene. She played ex-porn stars in one-woman shows and led a heavy band called Bongwater. She was the perfect choice for the punkette whom David Bowie fondled and then bit in the chic vampire thriller The Hunger (1983). It was both her film and skin debut and gave America a peek at the sweet melons that downtown denizens had been drooling over for years. She next appeared with another street urchin named Madonna, playing Cigarette Girl in Desperately Seeking Susan (1985)–no nudity in that or the several forgettable TV movies that followed. If Ann was going to sell out, she might as well show a bit! But Ann stayed very clothed during supporting roles in Making Mr. Right (1987) opposite John Malkovich, Tequila Sunrise (1988) with Mel Gibson, and A Night in the Life of Jimmy Reardon (1988) co-starring River Phoenix. She returned to television in 1989 for a role on the hit series Anything But Love but could still be seen onscreen, most impressively as horny multi-limbed Calli in the Chris Elliott comedy Cabin Boy (1994). Ann has not forgotten her free and sleazy roots, though. In The Caveman’s Valentine (2001) opposite Samuel L. Jackson we twice get to check out her impressive chesticles while she and future Nick Fury kiss and strip. Add in a little shirtless make out in Love at Large (1990) and Ms. Magnuson rounds out her racktastic skinresume with bustacular style. She still works regularly in films and TV but these days she taking on the role of the wise, older woman so the odds of us seeing Ann’s cans again are pretty slim.
