Martha Smith
Nude

A statuesquely structured babe-alicious blonde, Ohio-born Martha Smith implanted herself into millions of male minds as sexy southern belle Babs Jansen in the immortal comedy National Lampoon’s Animal House(1978), her little pink hat, pearl necklace, and white gloves the only things remaining after her starched suit was ripped off to show a full bra and panties. She wasn’t nearly as covered up in the movie Blood Link (1982), where her character Hedwig’s bare breasts were revealed to all in multiple scenes, for many seconds. If you want to see the whole shebang, though, you’ll have to turn to the July 1973 issue of Playboy, when she was Playmate of the Month; so impressive was her photo shoot for the men’s magazine, her image was one of 48 selected for the 2007 Playboy Legacy Collection as the very best from over 15 million pics in their archive. Wow, right? Following her trip to the Delta House and the link, Martha went on to appear as Dr. Sandy Horton on the soap opera Days of Our Lives in 1982, and then earned primetime prominence as Francine Desmond for 89 episodes of the successful series Scarecrow and Mrs. King from 1983-1987. Other bit parts followed, but the most intriguing was her role in the Netflix film A Futile and Stupid Gesture (2018), a biopic about the creators of National Lampoon’s legacy. Martha plays…Babs, a Studio Tour Guide. Fans of Animal House will remember each of the characters had an epilogue stamped across the screen, and it looks like this one actually came true!
