Emily Watson’s mesmerizing mouth never seems far from a wiseacre’s grin or a voluptuary’s grimace. Perhaps that’s why the English star of stage, film and TV has enchanted critics, collaborators and audiences since making her nude movie debut in Lars von Trier’s drama Breaking the Waves (1996). Indeed, the alluring ingénue picked up plenty of awards for baring her soul — as well as her flesh! Nipples tweaked, bush out, legs splayed, sex that defied categorization as simulation — Emily had arrived at a peak most actresses never achieve. And she continues to please onscreen. Just have a breathless look at Metroland (1997), wherein the British beauty reveals her rack while taking a bath with Christian Bale. Emily also exposed her orbs via her award-winning portrayal in Hilary and Jackie (1998). For the mystery Trixie (2000), the skintastic starlet popped up and out of her white brassiere. Even when clothed, Ms. Watson wows in Robert Altman’s period piece Gosford Park (2001), Paul Thomas Anderson’s rom-com Punch-Drunk Love (2002), and the Julian Fellowes drama Separate Lies (2005). She can also be seen in Steven Spielberg’s War Horse (2011) and heard in Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride (2005). Of course, here at Skin Central, we’re partial to her part in Charlie Kaufman’s postmodern dramedy Synecdoche, New York (2008). Or, should we call it Skin-ecdoche since Emily’s curvaceous character strips out of her skivvies to seduce Phillip Seymour Hoffman with her nude boobs. No wonder she won an Independent Spirit Award for her perky performance!
