Biography

Marianne Basler is naked in so many movies, and even on TV, that Mr. Skin barely knows where to start (Get it? Barely? Ha!). But start he will, with the Belgium-born beauty moving to France to become a French movie star, and make her skinematic debut as Blanche in L’Amour propre ne le reste jamais très longtemps (1985), poorly translated by Google as Own love never stays that way for very long, a movie about the G-spot, where the wide-eyed actress reveals her pretty perkies in a couple of different scenes. She followed it up with the lead role of Parisian hooker Rosa in Rosa la rose, fille publique (1986), aka Public Girl, which not only gave us more looks at the star’s titillating twosome, but a glance at her very furry kitty as well. The role also gave Marianne a nomination for Most Promising Actress from the César Awards, France’s version of the Oscar.
