The regal good looks of blonde descendent of Erin, Maureen Flannigan, might be described as icy, except that the flush of passion that rises hotter than a blush to her high, sculpted cheekbones melts away any notions of cold. Originally from Inglewood California, Maureen’s coruscating Celtic perfection capped and gowned from USC, then turned to acting with a role in the Michael Landon angel returns to earth show Highway to Heaven. Maureen is best known for her long run as the star of Out of This World, a zany NBC comedy about a teenage girl who has all sorts of superpowers since her dad was an alien. The alien was voiced by Burt Reynolds, which helps explain why mom was so cool with playing “take me to your beaver.” But Maureen brought Heaven to Earth when she showed her out of this world body in Teenage Bonnie and Klepto Clyde (1993). There’s a young Flannigan playing Bonnie, barely out of her teens, if that, alone in a car with a greasy-haired mook. Suddenly, Maureen’s top is tossed over her head, and there they are! Popped out into full view, flying around as the sassy lass leaps into the car’s backseat. Miracles do happen, and cameras are there to catch them. Maureen moved on to play Sonja in Last Resort (1994), then had a long run as the rich girl swimmer with the appropriately Irish last name, Erin Galway on the Olympic training teen drama Push. Family friendly TV fans may remember her as Matt’s NYU bound girlfriend Shana Sullivan on 7th Heaven, but she did play Leslie on the much more risqué 90210 in 2009. Her last bit of acting came in the short film Retail (2011) but these days that fine piece of tail has been directing stuff like her short film Lizzy the Cashier (2021). If Maureen was sexy on screen, cha-ching, cha-ching! Our thing needs Maureen Flannigan to take her top off again.
