She began her film career in 1957, but French actress Michèle Mercier (born Jocelyne Yvonne Renée Mercier in Nice) didn’t become an international favorite until Shoot the Piano Player in 1960—a classic François Truffaut film that would be memorable even without Michèle’s magnificent breasts being featured in black and white (they’re real, and they’re spectacular). Her topless scene was quite daring for the time, but Michèle was just getting warmed up, as seen when her hot body wowed French audiences in the film Angélique (1964). Shot in Technicolor, with the star’s dark brunette mane now a golden strawberry blonde, this was the first of several films based on the popular book series about noblewoman Angélique in the court of Louis XIV. Angelique: The Road to Versailles (1965), Angelique and the King (1966), Untamable Angelique (1967), and Angelique and the Sultan (1968) all featured Michèle in period costumes, her generous globes pushed up to feature-film worthiness; some even included shots of Michèle’s hand-covered cleavage and a backside moment. Mr. Skin also finds her unforgettable in Lady Hamilton – Zwischen Schmach und Liebe (1968), or Lady Hamilton – Between Shame and Love, where she elegantly reclines for a painter, showing off her amazing figure, including a mostly full shot of her breast, a mostly full shot of her rear, and a mostly excited us.
