Before she was even 21 years old, brunette sight sensation Amparo Muñoz had already reigned for a year as Miss Spain and had proudly claimed the crown of Miss Universe for 1974. Her future was mapped out for her: A staid succession of corporate shill spots and, if she behaved, her waning years in the limelight as a respected, respectable broadcast journalist. “Screw all that,” Amparo must have said, in her delightfully saucy and spicy accent, because the world’s best woman cast that boring, straight-laced future to the dust and embarked upon a film career that revealed a surprising depth of emotive talent and stupendous quantities of bush, buns, and titties! Her rack is represented in Tocata y fuga de Lolita (AKA Lolita’s Tocata and Fugue) (1974) and La otra alcoba (AKA The Other Bedroom) (1976); all her parts are preserved in Del amor y de la muerte (AKA For Love and Death) (1977); she’s full-frontal in L’anello matrimoniale (AKA The Wedding Ring) (1978) and Mama Turns 100 (1979); and we see her thick bush as she engages in fur-flying fisticuffs with an equally naked big-boobed brawler in Sexo Contra Sexo (AKA Sex vs. Sex) (1980). The final footage we have of Amparo’s flesh is from La mujer del ministro (AKA The Minister’s Wife) (1981). We also have it on good authority that she’s nude in Volvoreta (AKA Butterfly) (1976), Si las mujeres mandaran (o mandasen) (AKA If Women Ruled) (1982), and several others. Amparo passed away in 2011 but she left behind a skinematic legacy.
