Doomed beauty was never more doomed nor more beautiful than in the sadly spent life of platinum-haired goddess Savannah. She grew up in Texas, then moved to Mission Viejo and became the quintessential hot cheerleader. While still in high school, Savannah, born Shannon Wilsey, became accustomed to the life of celebrity and cash as the teenage companion to rocker Gregg Allman for several years while he toured; rumor has it he broke up with her because she took too many drugs. Back in California, she wandered into the adult entertainment industry, and with her natural blonde mane and two breast enlargements, quickly gained popularity and fame, and even won Best New Starlet at the Adult Video News Awards in 1992, though she’d already been in over 45 skin flicks before 1992 even started, and had appeared on the cover of March 1991 Hustler magazine. Savannah completed 15 more movies in 1992, 13 more in 1993, ending with over 75 titles to her credit. While the fans loved her, she earned a reputation within the industry as being a bit of a diva, and would sometimes walk out of the middle of production to have fun elsewhere. In a supermarket tabloid, she infamously dissed Axl Rose as being bad at sex, and dated comedian and actor Pauly Shore, who allegedly told her he would marry her if she gave up heroine. Tragically, Savannah crashed her white Corvette after a night of debauchery, injuring her famous face; she shot herself in July 1994 at the gone-too-soon age of 23.
