Born the daughter of Austrian museum curator and art historian Wieland Schmied, Barbara Kowa has explored every artistic medium out there, from performance art and theater, to sculpting and photography. Luckily for us, her brief stop in the world of cinema offered plenty of looks at Kowa’s body, and wowza, is it a work of art. Barbara was already a theater veteran when she made her television debut as “wig girl” on a couple episodes of the cult science fiction comedy, Lexx in 1996. It was full of jokes about earth and metahumor about science fiction tropes, but there was no sex in Lexx, at least from Barbara. For that, we had to wait a few years for her to star in Die Heimlichen Blicke des Mörders (2001) which means “Hot Naked Blonde in the Bathtub with a Webcam”. OK, maybe the translation is a little off and it actually means “The murderer’s secret glances”, but that certainly would have been a better description of just why you’ll want to watch the movie. Seeing Barbara erotically bathe, showing her tight blonde ass and perky tits to a selection of paying customers over the best internet 2001 has to offer will have you choking the chicken, and no die heimlich maneuver will be able to stop you. A few years later we saw her go from Kowa in the shower to doing the deed with two guys at once, in artistic black and white, in the short film Deed Poll (2004). We even see the pair painting Barbara’s naked body, all three B’s included. While she occasionally acts in movies like Punk Berlin (2015), Barbara has focused her artistic efforts away from acting, which is a shame since we’re not gonna see her naked while she’s doing landscape photography. Hopefully she returns to erotic cinema. We have no powa to resist the sexual charms of Barbara Kowa!
