This multi-talented Scotland-bred babe started the bulk of her acting work while her successful career as folk singer/songwriter/bandleader was in full swing. Rebecca Pidgeon graced the boards in hubby David Mamet‘s stage productions, later moving gracefully into most of his movies, where she remains a skinlicious staple. Her soft, strong-willed roles come across with such an intellectual charge that it’s hard to determine what’s sexier: her postmodern beauty or the non-traditional approach she takes with her characters. It’s probably an equal balance of both, as her performances glow with naïve sexuality yet give off an unattainable vibe. A perfect femme fatale, Rebecca has played women bordering on that title in movies such as The Spanish Prisoner (1997) and Heist (2001), both for man-of-the-house Mamet. But it wasn’t until her seventh star turn for him in State and Main (2000) that she was required to clear the nest of those breast pigeons and show what her Broadway beau has enjoyed after performances for all these years. That’s right: we could finally share a stiffy with that lucky stiff! Although we haven’t been lucky enough to get a subsequent look at Becca’s Bs, she stripped to her undies in Edmond (2005) and donned a pink bikini in Cat City (2008), supplying shots of her abs, cleavage, and even her thong- and pantyhose-clad ass. It seemed like divine intervention when, in 2018, Ms. Pidgeon scored a role in Bird Box. Alas, we didn’t get any box from this bird. Maybe we need to change the feeder.
