How incredible are Abigail Good’s legs? They’re even allowed to tower over the famously fun sized Tom Cruise in Eyes Wide Shut (1999). Legendary director Stanley Kubrick wasn’t going to worry about any movie star’s ego while making his idea of the ultimate erotic thriller–and that meant Abigail’s totally nude Mystery Woman would be shown off in all her splendor. We never see her face, with the mysterious elite sex party forcing wearers to wear masks before it was cool, but every moment on screen shows her tight body in nothing but a thong. Fideli-oh boy, does she have a nice rack! Unsurprisingly, with her long and lean figure the Leicester born Abigail started off as a runway model once she left Singapore, where she was raised. Her work in Kubrick’s final masterpiece should’ve been a career-making role–even with her spending lots of screen time in a mask–but Abigail’s kept a low profile since then, only gracing the screen with a torrid and tropical turn in Butterfly Man (2002). It’s far less mysterious than her work in Kubrick’s last film, but we do get to see her in a thong and can take a peek at an ineffective handbra while she goes for a dip. Part of the issue that kept her career from taking off may have been that it ends up the voice behind Abigail’s body was later revealed to be Cate Blanchett‘s, combined with the confusion over whether the woman saving him at the orgy (played by Abigail) is “Mandy”, the women Cruise saved from overdosing on speed at the beginning of the film. Kubrick fans love to find hidden images in the background and speculate on their meanings, but with that scene it’s hard to look anything but Abigail’s goodies. Abigail ditched acting after just three films, opting to make her living on the other side of the camera. Adding to the layers of confusion about the former “mysterious woman” who is quite mysterious off screen as well, in her photography work she now goes by the name Abi Campbell.
