In Days of Olde, porno stars didn’t resort to such practices as breast augmentation, botox, or collagen lip implants to “make themselves beautiful.” They were happy with what they had to offer, which generally fell into the realm of huge bouncing tits and incredibly hirsute nether-regions. Dolly Sharp falls right smack-dab into the middle of that particular categorization. Born on April 25, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas, as “Helen Ann Wood,” Dolly started her career in 1970, right at the height of the American Sexual Revolution in the less-than-stellar Mondo Porno (1971). Thankfully, things got a lot better rather quickly for the Bang Bunny, who went on to appear in such classics as Rosebud (1972), Selling It (1972), Lady Zazu’s Daughter – Millie’s Homecoming (1971), and, of course, the milestone production Deep Throat (1972). Some of her last credits include works such as His Loving Daughter (1971), The Relatives Are Coming (1971), Sexual Customs in Scandinavia (1972), The Trials of Chickie Tetrazzini (1972), and The Filthiest Show in Town (1973). After that, Dolly dropped off the porno radar hasn’t been seen since. That is, except when we get Deep Throat out for an umpteenth viewing every other day. Hey. It’s a classic! Dolly passed away on November 1, 1998, in Los Angeles, California, at the age of 63. She will be missed, especially by her fans. Lucky for us, we can pour through her steamy, sexy archives; stare at her hot boobs, bush, and bod; and shout, “Good golly, Miss Dolly!”
