A B-movie bimbo, as Playboy magazine dubbed her, Roxanne Kernohan’s movie career took place in just three years, with the majority in 1988. She began as Ann in Fatal Pulse, a crime, thriller, horror starring Joe Estevez (yes, that Estevez, as in younger brother of Martin Sheen and uncle to Emilio and Charlie). Next up for the statuesque blonde was the part of Lee in Critters 2, the second flick in the franchise series. Roxanne turned a lot of heads in this one, her character originally a bulky dude in chainmail, who looks at a nude centerfold of Roxanne, then busts out of his clothes as he transforms into the female beauty, complete with naked breasts and bare ass. She appeared in the Traci Lords pic Not of This Earth (1988), playing the role of Lead Hooker, one of three who strips for a mysterious man who incinerates them with his eyes. Phoenix Warrior (1988) followed, also known as She-Wolves of the Wasteland, where her character Meda gets all wet and slippery beneath a waterfall, her big breasts dazzling and naked. Her last film of 1988 was Angel III: The Final Chapter (1988), playing the White Hooker in the franchise film. The year 1989 was hot for Roxanne, as she appeared in two big projects: a topless Dressing Room Girl in the big Hollywood movie Tango & Cash with Kurt Russell and Sylvester Stallone, and as a front-row fan in Cheap Trick’s music video for “Never Had a Lot to Lose.” The year also brought her Playboy fame, not only appearing in the “B-Movie Bimbos” article, but also in Playboy’s Book of Lingerie in September and November of 1989, and again January 1991. Her last role was an easy one, being herself in the video release Scream Queen Hot Tub Party in 1991, one of a bevy of bare-breasted beauties bathing and soaping up each other. Tragically, Roxanne’s life was cut short in 1993, due to injuries from a traffic accident. She will B missed.
