She’s sometimes credited as Eleonor Gold, which is both easier to say than her full name—Eleonora Brigliadori—and semantically accurate, as this dark-haired Milan-born beauty is good as gold, maybe even better if you’ve seen her performance as Bianca Ravelli in The Belt (1989). The movie stars American actor James Russo, of Once Upon a Time in America (1984) fame, as a cowed husband who is sickened by his wife’s masochistic fetishes. Eleonora is beyond sexy in various lingerie, and in the buff, with her breasts bare and beautiful. Before she got naked in The Belt, the Italian temptress was a well-known model, and made her on-screen presence known when she starred as Flaminia in the TV mini-series Delitto di stato (1982), or Crime of the State. From there, she appeared in multiple feature films, and in more mini-series, including Rally in 1989 as Prisca Hareton, and Solo that same year. TV movies were her forte, and she made nine of them over the course of her career, including playing Marta in Two Mothers for Rocco (1994), and Linda Marco in The Uncrowned Heart (2003). Her big role on TV, though, came with the series Incantesimo, where she was Viviana Costantini for 33 episodes in 2007. In her personal life, Eleonora is known as being something of a wild card. Rumor has it she was sued in 2007 for illegally painting the side of a cliff, claiming she was just being artistic. She’s also sparked a lot of controversy in Italy over tumors and chemotherapy, asserting that chemo causes death, and has argued with and walked out on talk-show hosts and reporters alike.
