Maybe it’s easy for a gorgeous American blonde from Lubbock, Texas, to become a successful model in Japan, but Cristi Conaway proved her talent went beyond posing and preening for the Asian masses when she hit Hollywood to start her acting career. The 5’6” blonde goddess made her debut in the TV series Room for Romance in 1990, and landed the part of Lydia in the TV movie Children of the Bride (1990) with Patrick Duffy, Rue McClanahan, and Kristy McNichol (all popular in 1990) before making her way to the big screen to be the receptionist in Doc Hollywood (1991) with Michael J. Fox. In 1992, she upped her fame game and starred as the Ice Princess in Batman Returns, with the Michael Keaton Batman, Michelle Pfeiffer Cat Woman, and Danny DeVito Penguin. Cristi then scored a Woody Allen movie (before he became all scandalous), playing Shawn Grainger in Husbands and Wives (1992) with Mia Farrow and Sydney Pollack. On TV, she appeared in her bra in multiple scenes with Daniel Baldwin in Christopher Guest’s campy TV movie Attack of the 50 Ft. Woman with Daryl Hannah, and looked hot as hades in a lacy bra in the big-screen flick Nina Takes a Lover(1994) with Laura San Giacomo.
