Nothing quite promises a night of sensual delights like a lissome, cheeky lass sprawling butt-up across the bedspread with her flimsy, flesh-colored panties clinging to the curvature and crevice of her comely chair meat. Such is the allure of fluffy blonde Tracy Smith as she brings the sunlight of a sweet moon to the ski-bum adventure flick Hot Dog… The Movie (1984). But before she was stiffening viewers’ hot dogs thanks to this performance, she appeared clothed in an episode of T.J. Hooker. Aside from that one phallic flick, Tracy stayed covered up for the entirety of her acting career. Her other credits include the early Tom Hanks comedy Bachelor Party (1984), an episode of the appropriately-titled series Cover Up, and the TV movies Perry Mason: The Case of the Poisoned Pen (1990), Perry Mason: The Case of the Skin-Deep Scandal (1993), and Perry Mason: The Case of the Telltale Talk Show Host (1993). Multi-talented Tracy would later drive a Humvee in Asteroid (1997) and would be a troubled kid’s best hope as “Principal Binder” in A Child’s Cry for Help (1994) before exiting the industry following roles in Mating Rituals (2004) and Arizona Summer (2004). But it is as the butt-baring (because, yes, the promise of good times to come is fulfilled, as Tracy does peel those panties off) babe of Hot Dog that she will always be remembered for.
