With her dark-eyed demeanor and glorious figure, you could say JoAnna Cameron was the Catherine Zeta-Jones of the 1970s. But instead of marrying the son of Kirk Douglas, she became friends with Bob Hope’s daughter. Thanks for the mamories! As such, the legendary funnyman cast JoAnna in the farcical film How to Commit Marriage (1969). From there, the gorgeous ingénue was among the titular characters in Roger Vadim’s R-rated crime comedy Pretty Maids All in a Row (1971) starring Rock Hudson and Angie Dickinson. The brunette bombshell exploded onto the small screen with guest spots on several series (including The Amazing Spider-Man, Columbo, Marcus Welby, MD and Love, American Style) as well as titillating turns in TV movies (Night Games, It Couldn’t Happen to a Nicer Guy, A Time for Love, etc.). But the boob tube babe gained the most fame for playing the Egyptian goddess Isis in The Secrets of Isis and Shazam! from 1975 to 1976. You can bet this Queen of the Nile’s scantily-clad cans and superhero heinie lured many a young snake from their pants. Of course, Mr. Skin is partial to Ms. Cameron’s revealing role in B.S.
