After making her (uncredited) debut in the crime series Z Cars (1967), the bit player could be seen on the big screen in The Bawdy Adventures of Tom Jones (1976). Just peak under the bed and there she is in a nightgown! Otherwise, the actress pretended to work the phones in the G-rated family fantasy Digby: The Biggest Dog in the World (1973) and the television series Hine (1971). In between, Maxine performed small screen stints as a pretty party guest on Paul Temple (1971) and The Liver Birds (1972). But not before the uncredited ingénue popped up as an art student in the musical comedy Toomorrow (1970) and a schoolgirl in the R-rated horror flick Twins of Evil (1971). Through the years, the extraordinary extra exposed her … range on the boob tube by portraying “Birthday Girl” in Strange Report (1969), “First Girl” in Doctor at Large (1971) and “Girl” in Bless This House (1976). Luckily, the sexy starlet showed off her maturity (and full frontal nudity) in the R-rated romance movie Love Is a Splendid Illusion (1970). The same can be said of her revealing role in the racy romp Confessions of a Driving Instructor (1976). Alas, that was her last pic and we’re longing for more Maxine wallpaper!
