A seriously trained dancer whose first cinematic exposure came in 1954, Concha has reigned on the stage and screen of her native Spain in a career that has outlasted the tenure of a dictator, survived the depleted influence of a waning monarchy, and burgeoned with the emergence of a vibrant democracy. In comedies and tragedies, Concha has embodied the vibrant, life-loving soul of her native land, and in Yo soy Fulana de Tal (tr. I’m So and So) (1975), she flashed that vibrant embodiment in a fully nude bathtub frolic. Unsurprisingly, that’s not her sole on-screen nude romp. Concha shows her conch-colored parts in Pim, pam, pum… ¡fuego! (tr. Pim, Pam, Pum… Fire!) (1975), Las bodas de Blanca (tr. Blanca’s Wedding) (1975), Libertad provisional (tr.
