As such, Ania kicked off her acting career by kicking off her clothes in Alberto Lattuada’s drama Stay as You Are (1978). The R-rated romance stars Marcello Mastroianni and Nastassja Kinski, but the real attention grabbers are Ms. Pieroni’s naked peaks! If that’s not erotic enough, the topless performer peels off her panties to reveal her round rump! Even though this skinternational hit features Italian dialogue, Ania’s skintastic part is conveyed via the universal language of lust! After exposing her sense of humor (among other things) in the 1979 comedy Mani di velluto (also known as Velvet Hands), the sexy brunette appeared in a string of horror flicks, including Lucio Fulci’s The House by the Cemetery (1981) and Neri Parenti’s Fracchia contro Dracula (1985). The scream queen could also be seen in Dario Argento’s chiller dillers Inferno (1980) and Tenebrae (1982). But once the end credits rolled, the talented ingénue switched gears to work as the director of a local TV station called GBR from 1985 to 1991. By the new millennium, Mr. Argento resurfaced with an offer for Ania to reprise her role from Inferno for his supernatural sequel The Mother of Tears (2007). Alas, she refused.
