As the daughter of actor Arnar Jónsson and actress Þórhildur Þorleifsdóttir, Sólveig studied acting at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin. After graduating, she returned home to work with the Icelandic National Theatre and the Icelandic Opera. Following her film debut in the comedy Stella í orlofi (1986), the talented ingénue revealed her range in the drama Let Me Fall (2018). In between, she could be seen on the small screen in German police procedurals. For example, the boob tube babe played Uschi Jacobs in Das Duo (2002-2006) and Karin Jacobsson in Der Kommissar und das Meer (2007-2012). Throughout the years, Ms. Arnarsdóttir was cast on TV shows (Katla, Trapped, Svartir Englar), miniseries (Mätressen – Die Geheime Macht Der Frauen), and in movies (Woman at War). Although Sólveig offered a titillating turn in Die Geliebte des Sultans (2005), we’re partial to her part in B.Angeled (2001).
