The name may seem familiar, and the ass definitely rings a bell…or causes a bell to be rung. Mayte Garcia caught the attention of Prince (yes, Purple Rain Prince) when she was just 16 years-old, thanks to her belly-dancing talents. The dark-haired delight was born in Alabama and grew up all over the US, thanks to a military dad. She spent her summers in Puerto Rico with extended family, and learned belly-dancing from her mom, who was a professional dancer. Mayte was featured on the old TV show That’s Incredible, as the youngest professional belly-dancer in the world at the age of eight. When she was a teenager, her mom convinced her to do a video of her swinging her hips to Prince’s song “Thieves in the Temple,” it made it into his hands, and he kept in touch with the hottie until she hit legal age. At 18, he hired her to be part of his New Power Generation troupe, and she appeared in his videos and toured with him. She also married him at some point, but their relationship dissolved after the loss of a child. Mayte went on to date Tommy Lee, and to teach Britney Spears to belly-dance for her video “I’m A Slave 4 You” and for her famous MTV Video Music Awardsappearance. She’s also had an on-screen career, usually playing the sexy guest star in such series as Nip/Tuck(with a great ass shot) and Big Shots. She was a series regular in Army Wives from 2008-2009, and was on the reality TV show Hollywood Exes from 2012-2020. She added best-selling author to her resume with the 2017 publication of her book The Most Beautiful: My Life With Prince, a year after his death. She also helps rescue puppies.
