Asian angel Ella V. got her start as a member (often noted as the most well endowed) of the Filipino, all girl singing group “Viva Hot Babes.” But while here in the West we’ve seen groups like “Destiny’s Child”, “The Pussycat Dolls” and even “The Spice Girls” make the occasional foray into super sexy music videos, there’s a reason those groups are named after synonyms for kids and children’s toys: the raunchiest, filthiest thing they’ve ever filmed is nothing compared to the most tame work of Viva Hot Babes. As part of being in the band, the ladies of Viva Hot Babes made softcore, erotic cinema, posed nude in magazines, and sang scandalous songs so chock full of sexual double-entendres they were nearly banned from Filipino radio. On the big screen, Ella got her start alongside the other VHBers in the ironically named First Time (2003), before moving on to the self explanatory Erotica: Lessons of the Flesh (2005). But the best sensual seminar to learn about Ella is in Boso (2005), the story of a peeping Tom who runs a boarding residence home to a borderline nymphomaniac clientele. Ella’s extra large elements are all over the screen when she has sex with an alternative fella sporting dyed, red hair, in a scene punctuated by a loud rock soundtrack that can barely drown out the moans. We even get a look at her Manila made, man-pleasing meat seat. Ella eventually bailed on the band, and starred on television shows like Asian Treasures, Ysabella, and Joaquin Bordado. But after am appearance in the movie Caregiver (2008), Ella married an American physician’s assistant she’d met in the Phillipines, moved to California and abandoned show business entirely. While her showbiz career may be done, you don’t have to be an elephant not to forget Ella V’s V big, V nice, V bouncy bangers. Viva la hot babes! Viva la Ella V!
