Film fans are well aware of cinematic siblings such as The Safdie Brothers (Uncut Gems), The Coen Brothers (No Country for Old Men), The Farrelly Brothers (There’s Something About Mary), and The Wachowskis (The Matrix), just as flesh fans are familiar with The Soska Sisters (Tarantino’s Basterds). Sylvia Soska and her twin sister Jen are a pair of Canadian filmmakers who write, direct and produce micro-budget thrillers with a cult following. If that’s not impressive enough, they also act in their own movies — even when it means doing some stunts! The Brothers Quay (The Sandman) never did that! Alhough Sylvia and Jen work mainly in short films such as 2008’s Bite Me and Lit Up, the sisters have also created feature-length horror flicks including American Mary (2012) starring Katharine Isabelle and Tristan Risk. The Soskas also wrote and directed a segment in the horror anthology The ABCs of Death 2 (2014). Even if Sylvia has yet to strut her stuff in the buff on camera, you can still get a good look at her bod in the grindhouse pic Dead Hooker in a Trunk (2009) since she spends a significant amount of screen time in a pair of black briefs. Breast of all, she wears a barely-there brassiere. In fact, the scantily-clad cutie proves to be is a lean mean fighting machine when she beats a couple of cops — all while she’s donning her skimpy skivvies! In other words, as Sylvia is pounding some bacon, you’ll be choking the chicken!
