Lori Eden is one of those anonymous bodies that make their way into the light of the camera and are captured momentarily for our pleasure and then seem to disappear. We know she exists as more than shadow and light, but the flesh and blood babe is elusive to us — she remains one of the cute cattle herded around Hollywood. But she’s not just another body, at least not to us, the hairy palms at Skin Central. We’ll work diligently to find her story, to praise her work and remember her tits for future generations will never forget. Until then, we have Killer Joe (2011), a crime thriller about murder and insurance fraud. The flick was advertised as a “totally twisted deep fried Texas redneck trailer park murder story” starring Matthew McConaughey as a cop who also happens to be a hit man. Gina Gershon co-stars as an evil and contemptible stepmother and shows her naked boobs, bum, and bush onscreen for the first time since the late ’90s. She earns the film an NC-17 rating thanks to a scene in which Gershon goes down on a chicken leg. But despite all of the murder and Gershon’s nudity, this film will most like be remembered as featuring the topless dancing of Lori in a blue light that perfectly matches our blue mood, both turned on and sad for this mysterious lady. Will Lori ever come out of the shadows and return to the big screen? Mr. Skin will keep his fingers crossed.
