There’s a reason she has a dollar sign in her name: Ke$ha is pure gold. Full name Kesha Rose Sebert, the L.A.-born, Nashville-raised singer/songwriter kicked up a huge fuss in 2009 when she joined Flo Rida in his hit single “Right Round.” Such a fu$$, in fact, that she was signed to her own recording contract, and pushed to release her own single, “Tik ToK,” that same year; it was a hit for the blonde goddess, spending 38 weeks on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, with a peak at the number one spot. The accompanying video featured the singer as somehow both fresh-faced and messy with tangled blonde hair and next-day eyeliner, and a star was born. Her first full-length album Animal was released in early 2010, and spawned the hits “Your Love Is My Drug,” “Take It Off,” and “Blah Blah Blah.” She immediately followed it up with the EP Cannibal that same year, with the hits “Blow” and “We R Who We R,” the anthem for bold, rebellious girls everywhere: “Hot and dangerous, if you’re one of us, then roll with us.” And lots and lots of glitter. In 2011 she co-wrote the song “Till the World Ends” for Britney Spears, then appeared as a featured artist on one of the versions, along with Nikki Minaj. Ke$ha released her third album in 2012, Warrior, earning the singer another hit with “Die Young.” Repeating her collaboration success, she helped write Pitbull’s hit song “Timber” in 2013, and performed it with him; the video has over 1.2 billion (with a “B”) views on YouTube and was a #1 for both artists. All told, the talented hottie has recorded 22 Hot 100 songs, and stayed on the Artist 100 chart for 40 weeks. Her fourth studio album, Rainbow in 2017, earned her two Grammy nominations, one for Best Pop Vocal Album, and one for Best Pop Solo Performance for the single “Praying.” As a girl in the limelight, you can often catch Ke$ha in form-fitting outfits and glittery bodysuits—which are sometimes capable of lip slips…
