Biography

Jules Elting is a non-binary actor, performance artist, singer, and dancer. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Jules studied dance in New York City and went on to study acting at the university in Leipzig. Jules found their way into a classical theater career in Germany, and they went on to work in São Paulo, Brazil, as company member of the famous Teatro Oficina for a decade. As a solo artist, Jules creates their own work at the intersection of visual arts, pole dance, drag, and theater. More recently, Jules broke into film and has been showing their work at film festivals such as Berlinale, Locarno, Indie Lisboa, and Rotterdam. When Jules isn’t performing, they are working as a German translator.
