Massachusetts is known for its colonial history, pretty beaches, and baked beans. But the state also produces its fair share of wonderfully witty women. Mindy Kaling and Jane Curtain hail from Cambridge, Amy Poehler is from Burlington, and Carrie Aizley was born in Brookline. After graduating from Boston University, the latter lady homed in her comedic craft as a member of The Groundlings. She then applied her improv skills to the Christopher Guest mockumentaries Best In Show (2000) and For Your Consideration (2006). With Christen Sussin, the industrious ingenue created and starred in the sitcom Campus Ladies (2006-2007). The boob tube babe also played Kitty Chadwick alongside Chris O’Dowd in the comedy series Family Tree (2013). If that’s not entertaining enough, Carrie portrayed Laura in the Amazon Prime dramedy Transparent (2015-2016) and Transparent: The Lost Sessions (2017). The hilarious hottie continued to sizzle on the small screen in 2019 with guest spots on the NBC reboots Mad About You and Will & Grace co-starring Sean Hayes. Together, she and he wrote and starred in Lazy Susan (2020). The funny film has Carrie doing domestic chores without wearing a shirt.
