Louise Downie is far from a downer. This buxom brunette got her start playing a stripper in a 1989 episode of the long-running British medical series Casualty. The worst casualty of that episode is that Louise doesn’t strip completely. This SFW explicitness seemed to define Louise’s career, as she presumably dressed as sexy as possible without getting obscene during her time as a dancer with the Beastie Boys. Her next screen project was appropriately titled Visions of Ecstasy (1989), a short film in which Louise plays St. Teresa of Avila, an erotic nun. She waited four years before making her third screen appearance, in the Eric Idle-led comedy film Splitting Heirs (1993), which would have turned her into a skinematic idol had she split her legs and shown her pubic hairs. Unfortunately, we had to spend even more time contending with a clothed Louise: she appeared in two episodes of the show Cracker as Jacqui Appleby and the TV movie Bye Bye Baby (2001) as (what else?) a stripper. At long last she stripped naked as Miriam in a 2007 episode of Skins. She gets spied on through a window while nudely going through her closet, showing her buns and breasts.
